Quality standard approval for 24 products

Cognis Care Chemicals has announced that 24 personal care products from Cognis have been evaluated and approved for use in personal care formulations that meet the NSF/ANSI 305- 2009e standard.

China acquisition by global player

Specialty chemical producer Rhodia has completed the acquisition of Feixiang Chemicals (Zhangjiagang) after receiving approval of the Chinese authorities. Located in Zhangjiagang near Shanghai, Feixiang Chemicals is China’s leading producer of amines and surfactants, and employs about 650 people.

Personal Care welcomes Chris Smith

Chris Smith has replaced Tony Dweck as technical editor of Personal Care. Tony will continue to work with Personal Care in his new role of technical consultant. Chris Smith has worked in the health and beauty industry for over 15 years, with roles across the entire supply chain from R&D to retail marketing.

Global manager announced

Arch has announced the addition of Suellen Bennett as the global manager of technical marketing. In this role, Suellen will drive concept development and the execution of global launch products for personal care ingredients.

New solution for pigmentation problems

2010 SPIM Congress

The 2010 SPIM congress, organised by Greentech and held in Vichy between 17 and 19 November, brought together around 100 participants.
