Amino acid-based surfactants launched

Fenchem has launched a series of amino acid based surfactants which are derived from amino-acids and natural-origin fatty acids. More and more consumers demand all-natural ingredients to overcome their fears regarding personal health and wellness.

Environmental concerns and regulatory pressure have also built the driving force to replace petrochemical-based surfactants partly with those based on naturally occurring renewable sources. Fenchem is launching a new series of mild surfactants – FENAMI, including SLG-95 (INCI name: Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate), CGA-95 (INCI name: Cocoyl Glutamic Acid), LGA-95 (INCI name: Lauroyl Glutamic Acid) and DSCG-35 (INCI name: Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate). In particular, SLG-95 and DSCG-35 are key products for the personal care market. SLG-95 is a line of anionic surfactants derived from L-glutamic acid and natural fatty acids and the purity is 95%. It is a gentle cleanser for skin and leaves a soft and moisturised feeling on the skin. It is suitable for use in hair shampoos, facial and body cleansers, washing for infants and children. DSCG-35 is the 35% aqueous solution of disodium cocoyl glutamate that can combine with MAP (K), CAB, AEP, AES, K12, SLS to reduce the irritation of the system, improve moisture retention of skin and give hair a soft and silky feel.
