The Preparatory Committee of the Hong Kong Society of Cosmetic Chemists recently convened a conference in Beijing to discuss how to revise the existing rules of HKSCC, to prepare for the election of new leadership of HKSCC, and to ascertain the future direction of HKSCC.
Simon Chan addressed the meeting, emphasising the importance and significance of HKSCC involving chemists and cosmetic specialists from mainland China. It is hoped that HKSCC can drive forward, and reinforce, communication and cooperation between domestic and foreign chemists.
The conference resolved the constitution of HKSCC, set up various committees, proposed to hold a general meeting as well as academic seminars in the Asia Pacific region with the cooperation of Personal Care Ingredients Asia (PCIA) and the IFSCC. Excellent articles by domestic experts and scholars will be submitted to IFSCC after scrutiny.
