McIntyre Group has announced it is working with Corn Products International to deliver starch-based ingredients to the multinational personal care market.
McIntyre has launched the new Mackaderm line of leave-on skin care raw materials, featuring Mackaderm ASTO-Dry (INCI: Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate). Mackaderm ASTO-Dry is an essential aesthetic aid imparting a velvety feel to skin care formulations. It is a naturally derived starch polymer manufactured by Corn Products International from a waxy corn characterised as non- nongenetically modified, a distinguishing attribute in the personal care market.
“Over the last year, McIntyre has forged a significant relationship with Corn Products International,” Todd Nelmark, president of McIntyre Group, said. “Our work together started with the joint formulation of personal cleansers and has culminated in the provision of a vital raw material in the personal care industry.”
Sam Scott, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Corn Products International, stated: “Leveraging strategic relationships to enhance our product portfolio and expand our global reach is an important part of our pathway for growth,” and he continued: “With McIntyre Group, we are joining with a well-known, customer-focused partner in the global personal care market.”
