McIntyre and Corn Products form strategic relationship

McIntyre Group has announced it is working with Corn Products International to deliver starch-based ingredients to the multinational personal care market.

Through cooperation with Corn Products International, a leading global provider of agriculturally based ingredients, McIntyre will combine base of personal care raw materials made from starch with its customary technical support to provide formulators with cost-effective options.

McIntyre has launched the new Mackaderm line of leave-on skin care raw materials, featuring Mackaderm ASTO-Dry (INCI: Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate). Mackaderm ASTO-Dry is an essential aesthetic aid imparting a velvety feel to skin care formulations. It is a naturally derived starch polymer manufactured by Corn Products International from a waxy corn characterised as non- nongenetically modified, a distinguishing attribute in the personal care market.

“Over the last year, McIntyre has forged a significant relationship with Corn Products International,” Todd Nelmark, president of McIntyre Group, said. “Our work together started with the joint formulation of personal cleansers and has culminated in the provision of a vital raw material in the personal care industry.”
