Arizona Chemical has announced two new members to its specialty products team. Firstly, Dr Anna Pavlovic has joined the specialty products group as senior research scientist.
In her new role at Arizona, she will use her extensive background in chemical synthesis to design new products for the specialty products team. Dr Pavlovic has relocated to the company’s US Technology Center in Savannah, Ga. She comes to Arizona Chemical from The HallStar Company where, as senior research scientist, she designed and synthesised new molecules for multiple applications, including sun care. Dr Pavlovic also managed the Chemical Synthesis Facility at the University of Utah and is currently an adjunct professor in the marketing department at DePaul University. She received her PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her MBA in both International Business and Marketing Management from DePaul. Geraldine Bouvry has joined Arizona Chemical as research scientist, personal care. She is based in the company’s European Technology centre in Almere, the Netherlands. In her new role, Ms. Bouvry will be responsible for developing and maintaining starting point formulations for the Personal Care team and will perform testing to validate the value proposition of Arizona Chemical’s ingredients for personal care applications. She will provide technical service to Arizona’s customers and distributors in EMEA. Ms. Bouvry previously worked as a formulator and new product development chemist in skin care at Oriflame in Ireland. She has a master’s degree in Cosmetics from ISIPCA (International Superior Institute in Perfumery, Cosmetics and Food Flavouring), in partnership with the University of Versailles in France.
