The SCSS returned to the Amara Hotel in Singapore for their second suppliers’ day, which was held on Friday 2 September. This year’s event attracted 91 delegates coming from Singapore, India, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand.
The SCSS President, Mr. Andrew Gan, welcomed the SCSS president followed by the product presentations from Evonik, ISP, DSM Nutritional products, B&T Company, Seppic, SeerPharma, Seers Consulting, PT. Indokemika Jayatama and Brenntag. The papers were presented in three sessions which were chaired by Dr Magali Bonnier; Dr Alain Khaiat and Ms. Stephanie Chan. The final session was a dedicated Table Top Session which allowed delegates time to meet and have discussions with the exhibitors. Each company who presented a paper also had a Table Top with other Table Top presentations from; Ajinomoto, Bronson & Jacobs SEA, Campo Research, Kenda, Konica Minolta Sensing, Nardev Chemie and Technico Flor. The Table Top area was a separate hall adjacent to the presentation hall where each exhibitor was able to have customer discussion and demonstrate their technologies. The programme was closed by Andrew Gan. Admission for the delegates was free of charge. The SCSS try to provide an environment where suppliers and customers can meet, which is hoped to be beneficial for both the delegates and exhibitors in support of development of the cosmetic and personal care industry in the region. The SCSS remarked they were extremely grateful and wished to thank the exhibitors, the delegates, and sponsors for their efforts and participation which all contributed to the successful event.
