Sinerga reveals an innovative ingredient in the field of anti-ageing agents: ATP 23 (INCI name: Azeloyl Tetrapetide-23) is a new advanced proage peptide that slows down the oxidative damage, inhibits the glycation of dermal proteins and consequently the skin ageing processes.
The increase in life expectancy and the glorification of youth and physical beauty in Western societies is leading an increasing number of people to look for new cosmetic products to prevent or treat skin ageing. Skin ageing process is a natural phenomena of depolymerisation of the dermis matrix, involving slow deterioration of the tissue function and taking to turgidity of the skin, wrinkles and stretch marks. This process is increased by the excess of free radicals deriving from environmental damage (photoageing). ATP 23, thanks to its peculiar structure, prevents skin lipids peroxidation, protecting cellular membrane from scavengers attacks. It is constituted by a lipophilic carrier to enhance antioxidant activity of the peptide itself, intended to inhibit AGEs (Advanced Glycation End products) of dermal proteins and to renew skin cells. ATP 23, a second generation active ingredient, with high level cosmetic effects to slow down trends of skin ageing features (wrinkles, dryness, dullness, laxity), is recommended for aged skin, in order to prevent expression wrinkles and to regenerate the skin barrier.
