Its two-fold effect, reducing both the secretion of inflammatory cytokines and the overproduction of free radicals, makes it a specific soothing agent, especially dedicated to sensitive skin. Thanks to these properties, Cytokalmine also protects the skin from the effects of premature ageing. Cytokalmine is a dry extract of Carthaginian berry (Punica granatum), concentrated in polyphenols, particularly in tannins (punicalagin) and ellagic derivative, and stabilised in a maltitol carrier. It can be incorporated in the formula of soothing skin and body care, products for eye contour as well as in age prevention, after-sun, men’s care, etc. Cytokalmine helps to provide sensitive skin with soothing, comforting effect and also reinforces its resistance against external aggressions.
