Lipo announced the launch of Liposhield HEV Melanin, a novel, patent-pending ingredient. Liposhield HEV Melanin is designed to be used topically as it shields the skin from high energy blue/violet visible light (HEV) that may induce premature ageing according to recent scientific studies.
Liposhield HEV Melanin is tailored so that red light that is deemed to have beneficial effects can be transmitted to the skin. Liposhield HEV Melanin, which won first place at the Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Awards at in-cosmetics, Milan, is easy to formulate into skin care products. Also, Lipo announced that Chris Humberstone re-joined Lipo Chemicals on March 1 as executive vice president. Chris will serve as the global business leader for the Lipo Group, reporting to Julian Steinberg, CEO of Vantage Specialty Chemicals. Chris has a broad range of technical, marketing and management experience in personal care and related businesses, spanning over 30 years, including seven years as VP International with Lipo.
