High value PCHi breaks records in Shanghai

While the attendance figures are yet to be verified following detailed analysis of the data after the event, it appears that the attendance represents an increase of nearly 20%. The exhibition drew an attendance of 5,459 and there were 140 conference delegates. Participating in the exhibition were over 160 international and domestic suppliers of raw materials and ingredients. Overall, exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the attendance profile.One exhibitor reported making in excess of 1,000 contacts over the three-day period of the exhibition. PCHi offered content for anyone interested in formulating and marketing personal care and household products. In addition to the exhibition there were scientific conference sessions, technical presentations and professional development workshops – offering an extensive array of practical content. The personal care workshop was attended by over 80 participants – a significantly higher number than that expected. Basic surfactant training on how to formulate emulsions used in the personal care industry was very well received. Other parts of the workshop dealt with assessing the safety of products for cosmetic use, proof of efficacy, use and selection of preservatives, and the Chinese and global hair care markets and trends. The household content of PCHi dealt with the challenges of the global home care market.
