A promotional “road show” programme is commencing for FormulaCare i-2010, an event which will feature laboratories designed to be used by personal care market chemical manufacturers and suppliers of goods and services.
As the programme gains momentum, a full day technical presentation will be held in The Philippines for formulators of cosmetic manufacturing companies. There will be 100 free-to-attend places for bench chemists who will receive valuable information on basic skills for formulating. The presentation is designed not only for inexperienced chemists but also for those who have been working in the industry for some time and wish to improve their knowledge on aspects of basic technology. Dr Carla Seidel, personal care ingredients senior manager, Asia Pacific, BASF, commented: “FormulaCare i-2010 is not just an exhibition but an excellent opportunity for us to connect with our customers. It aligns with the goal of strengthening customer partnerships and understanding unmet market needs to make our customers in Asia even more successful.” David Dowdell, director, enterprise technology, Asia Pacific, Croda, said: “Supporting the Asian market is a priority for Croda as we have a wealth of knowledge stretching back over 80 years and a vast portfolio of products to meet all the needs of our customers. “The FormulaCare i-2010 road show provides Croda with the opportunity to address the most basic emulsification concerns of the formulators – ‘How best can we build a water and oil system?’ and ‘How to choose an appropriate emulsifier for my application?’” Other countries to host “road show” free training in the coming months will be Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. Pam Jones, director of PCA Consulting, is organising the training sessions to promote FormulaCare i-2010 which will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 17 and 18 March 2010.
