Lipotec SrL is the new Italian subsidiary of Lipotec – the active ingredients company has chosen the Italian market in which to open its fourth subsidiary. The other subsidiaries are Lipotec Distribución (Spain), GP Cosmétiques (France) and Lipotec GmbH (Germany).
Dr Domenico Palella is responsible for Lipotec SrL, which is located in Bologna. Dr Palella studied chemical engineering at the University of Bologna, and has a broad experience in international trade, having worked for three years in Italy and for five years in Spain and Latin America. After one year in Lipotec managing the Italian, Russian, Baltic, Greek and Middle East markets, Lipotec chose Dr Palella to open Lipotec SrL. Lipotec SrL will continue the progressive work done by Pharma Cosm Polli, which has been the Lipotec distributor in Italy for 15 years. According to information from Colipa, corresponding to the 2007 fiscal year, Italy is the third European country in terms of sales of cosmetics, preceded by Germany and France. The major trend is for anti-ageing and sun care products for people over 40. There is also a trend towards young consumers being interested in products that delay signs of ageing.
