Berg+Schmidt will showcase its new Texture & Sensory Compass at next month’s Suppliers' Day and CosmeticBusiness trade shows in New York and Munich respectively.
The Texture & Sensory Compass helps formulators to find the right formulation concepts and raw materials for their desired end product.
It provides an overview of the different galenics from milk to lotion and cream to butter; these can also be characterised by their sensory properties.
The tool has been publicly available on the website of the Hamburg-based cosmetic raw materials specialist since April.
“When the Texture & Sensory Compass was officially launched at in-cosmetics Global, the tool was a resounding success with manufacturers,” said senior application technologist Sabrina Paltian,
“As customer expectations are constantly rising, formulators are faced with the challenge of creating ever newer and more exclusive textures. We want to make this task a little easier with the Compass,” she added.
“Ultimately, the success of a product on the market also depends on its texture and sensory properties - which is why the Compass is a valuable tool for enhancing the value of the end product.”
Suppliers' Day takes place in New York City on 3-4 June while CosmeticBusiness is in Munich on 4-5 June.
