To support the growing number of its members and to better meet their expectations, COSMEBIO, the French professional association for those involved in ecological and organic cosmetics, has appointed Betty Santonnat as development director.
Since its creation in 2002, COSMEBIO has been growing steadily and today has more than 250 members. Ten per cent are from abroad. “With 100 new companies joining the association in 2008, COSMEBIO is facing an unprecedented growth which confirms its status as the main professional association of organic cosmetics in Europe”, said Thierry Recouvrot, president of the association. At the root of a charter and the standard defining ecological and organic cosmetics, COSMEBIO’s main objective is to defend and promote the know-how of its members (raw material suppliers, cosmetic laboratories, sub-contractors, distributors). Betty Santonnat is also responsible for the coordination of the European Harmonisation Project within the association.
