Lipoid Kosmetik launches bittersweet symphony

Lipoid Kosmetik has launched Amaretine, a COSMOS-approved innovative active ingredient for the treatment of sensitive skin at in-cosmetics Global stand H31.

The Swiss firm says this is the first active ingredient combining a bitter and sweet component embedded in a liposomal carrier system that synergistically targets all aspects of sensitive skin.

The bitter component, andrographolide, activates an entirely novel pathway for treating sensitive skin by binding bitter receptors in the skin leading to skin barrier regeneration.

The sweet component, glycyrrhetinic acid, is well-known to combat inflammation.

The unique combination of both creates an innovative ingredient with the following user benefits: strengthening of the epidermal barrier, reduction of inflammatory processes, alleviation of unpleasant skin sensations and improvement of skin sensitivity and quality of life.

Also on show in Barcelona are Lipoid Liposome C Eco, an innovative, COSMOS-approved, natural active for brightening and anti-ageing formulations.

The ready-to-use formulation contains liposomes with a particle size of around 40–120 nm and is free of preservatives.

The liposomes can be easily combined with any cosmetic formulation. In vivo studies confirm a brightening effect of age spots as well as an additional improvement of skin firmness.

Lipoid Kosmetik has also unveiled Mountain Tea Pro, a 100 % natural, caffeine-free tea extract for overnight skin regeneration.

The company says de-stressing and antioxidative Mountain Tea Pro is the ideal ingredient for protective and regenerative skin care during the day and at night, as well as to accompany consumers into a healthy and restorative beauty sleep routine.
