Eurofragance appoints Joan Pere Jiménez CEO

Spanish fragrance house Eurofragance has appointed Joan Pere Jiménez as its chief executive officer, effective 1 January 2026.

Jiménez (pictured, left), currently the Barcelona-based firm’s chief market officer, will replace Laurent Mercier (pictured, right), who has held the position since 2018.

Mercie will continue to lead the company until 31 December and will assume a new role on the Board of Directors starting in 2026.

Jiménez has been with Eurofragance for over ten years, first as chief operations officer and has held various positions of responsibility within the management committee, including general manager for the Europe, Africa and Turkey region through 2021, and then Asia-Pacific until the end of 2023.

Since January 2024, he has held the position of chief market officer, a role he will retain until the end of 2025.

“I approach this new challenge with great enthusiasm and responsibility. I am grateful for the trust the board of directors, the founding family members and the management team have placed in me,” he said.

“During the remainder of this year, I will continue to work with Laurent to ensure an orderly transition and carry the vision that has brought us this far, focusing on excellent service, innovation, a firm commitment to sustainability and a people-focused model.”

Santiago Sabatés, charman and founder of Eurofragance, added: “We are particularly pleased that the transition is being made with a person from within the company, who knows Eurofragance perfectly well and whose contribution has been decisive for delivering the results and achievements that were attained during Laurent's tenure.”
