Shanghai facility opens

Global fragrances and flavourings manufacturer Symrise has opened its new Creative Center in Shanghai.

The facility will house all functions and creative resources of the scent and care division for the Chinese market. It will also serve as the newly established regional hub for North East Asia.

Fifty-one employees will work at the new Shanghai office, and by 2013 this number is expected to increase to 70.

  • Professor Xuemin Wang has been appointed to the Scientific Advisory Board of Symrise.

The renowned Chinese dermatologist will be advising Symrise on the development of cosmetic agents for the Chinese market as well as conducting clinical tests on cosmetic agents in Shanghai.
