International Specialty Products (ISP) has announced that Dr Gopinathan Menon has joined the company as senior science fellow in personal care research and development.
“Dr Menon will play a key role in strengthening ISP’s skin care research efforts already in place as well as expanding the use of ISP ingredients in the dermatological area,” Dr Dal Farra said. “His distinguished reputation in the scientific and academic research communities as well as in the commercial sector underscores ISP’s serious commitment to broadening the scope of its research in personal care.”
In addition, Dr Menon will help lead a new ISP research programme in dermatology with Dr Subhash Saxena, who joined ISP in September as vice president for business development – pharma, with primary responsibility for the development of new active pharmaceutical ingredients for the dermatology market. The research programme, which will be coordinated with ISP’s Global Skin Research Center in Sophia Antipolis, France, will focus on the treatment of skin diseases as well as other key dermatological challenges.
