BRB Silicones recently expanded its R&D center in the Netherlands. Further to R&D synthesis equipment, the new laboratory will also host a new European Technical Service Center for Personal Care, the main market of BRB Silicones.
BRB Silicones recently finalised a new investment in the headquarters in Ittervoort (The Netherlands). The new investment will allow moving the growing R&D team into a new facility of 1000 square metres.
Further to R&D synthesis equipment, the new laboratory will also host a new European Technical Service Center for Personal Care, the main market of BRB silicones.
“After many years of continuous growth, the existing lab was too small to accommodate the R&D analytical equipment and reactors”, said Rob Houben, Vice President R&D of BRB. “With the new premises situated in a separate building/terrain on the same industrial estate we further professionalized the R&D environment and are able to accommodate the expanding team. This will allow us to develop the specialty product portfolio for the years to come, together with the R&D team located at our recently commissioned synthesis plant in Malaysia”.
“This is good news to have in our Headquarter further capabilities to support our European Personal Care customers and distributors”, said Grégoire Amice, product line manager for Personal Care at BRB Silicones. “This is coming further to the recent move of our main application laboratory for the Personal Care in our new synthesis plant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, commissioned in June 2016 and is a strong signal on our commitment to this market. This will allow us to support further our customers with new innovative formulations and ideas, having Personal Care application chemists at both plants to study synergies with the chemistry of different markets”.
