The second edition of in-cosmetics Korea saw the event building on what was a successful first show in difficult circumstances last year. In 2016, however, with a new position within the Coex, in-cosmetics Korea attracted a wealth of new exhibitors and a total of 6,152 unique visitors who made the trip to the South Korean capital in July. That total was an impressive 97% more than in 2015.

Korea is well-known as a leading innovator in many areas of science, and the cosmetics industry is no exception. And so it was no surprise to see the show was proving extremely popular with Korean formulators, eager to find novel ingredients with which to create exciting new products. More than 5,300 visitors – an 81% increase on the previous show – travelled from within the country.

There was also a big increase in international visitors. In total, 804 visitors (13% of the overall total) travelled from outside Korea, with a large number of formulators and R&D professionals making the trip from China, Thailand and Japan in particular.
