C+K maintains its position as the market leader in this field all over the world. Eighty per cent of turnover is derived through the export of skin testing instruments to almost all countries in the world.
A complete range of equipment with measurement parameters for hydration, sebum, pH, skin colour and elasticity is available. Optical systems for examining skin structure, lines and wrinkles are also in the product range.
Brand names such as Corneometer® have formed standard terms such as Corneometry for the measurement of skin hydration. Results of numerous scientific studies performed with the C+K equipment are available.
Use of the devices has become a worldwide standard in objective clinical diagnosis for dermatology (in clinical research and for the practical dermatologist) and in the R&D departments of the cosmetic/pharmaceutical/raw material companies and the independent testing laboratories conducting efficacy testing and claim support work. In occupational health, objective skin surveillance has an established role. C+K is ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 accredited.
Since its foundation, Courage+Khazaka has been constantly growing, and the number of employees has risen from two when the company was established to 40 today. A brand new project is the co-operation with the ESA and DLR to monitor austronauts’ skin on the ISS in space.
