Twenty-first century cosmetics has always been driven by consumer needs which require perceived performance. Cosmetic science is now at the forefront of product innovation and this covers three major aspects:
• Development of new tools for efficacy
• Development of new approaches for wellbeing
• Engagement towards social responsibility.
After 16 years, the IFSCC Congress comes back to France with La Société Française de Cosmétologie hosting the 28th IFSCC Congress.
“This is an honour and a real challenge for the sector’s 2nd European market,” explained Claudie Willemin, president of the Société Française de Cosmétologie (SFC). “When it was decided in 2007 that between 27 and 30 October 2014 Paris would be the scientific capital of the cosmetics industry, this decision rewarded the SFC for its work and involvement in the international federation, whose 16,000- strong membership network extends over 51 countries and 47 learned societies (like the SFC),” she added.
