A meeting focusing on 'Colour and Care in Make-up and Hair' will be held on 12 June 2014 at the Cedar Court Hotel, Huddersfield.
This one-day meeting is jointly organised by the RDG North section of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS) and the Personal Care Group of the British Association for Chemical Specialities (BACS).
Colour is a fundamental aspect of cosmetic products, but is often overlooked when emphasis is placed on the performance of other ingredients. Colour impacts visually on the consumer from the retail environment through to opening and applying a cosmetic to the body. In the case of make-up and hair, colour is part of that crucial first impression given by the consumer’s appearance to others. This seminar will look at colour and care from all angles covering issues and regulations, trends and science, stability and measurement, mixed with some history and a look into the future.
