The SFC, Société Française de Cosmétologie, will welcome cosmetic industry professionals to the 28th IFSCC Congress which will take place in the Palais des Congrès this year from 27-30 October.
The Organising Committee aims to make this congress a memorable event in the ‘city of lights’. The chosen theme ‘Cosmetic innovation and performance for beauty and wellbeing’ summarises the important trends in the cosmetology of the future. The quality of the conferences and the reputation of the international speakers will ensure a high standard of scientific information with the potential to lead many fruitful exchanges between delegates. The exhibition which will take place simultaneously will allow delegates to discover the latest developments from cosmetic ingredient suppliers and innovations in evaluation methods and equipment. The social programme will present highlights of French culture and remind delegates that Paris, the birthplace of the modern cosmetic science and perfumery industry, remains a centre of fashion and beauty. The deadline for registration at preferential rates is 13 July 2014.
The IFSCC
The International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists is a worldwide federation dedicated to international cooperation in cosmetic science and technology. Interest in the formation of such an organisation crystallised in Paris in 1956 with the birth of the federation in Brussels, Belgium on 8 September 1959. At that time there were only eight countries within the federation. Today, 47 Societies representing 57 countries have met the high standards of scientific and educational qualifications of the IFSCC and, as members, support the organisation’s aims and programmes. The number of individual members in the federation now exceeds 15,000 and is still growing. The IFSCC continues to grow as the cosmetic industry expands worldwide. As new Societies develop in Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, they will be welcomed into the Federation as they qualify for membership.
