DKSH’s business unit Performance Materials has started a strategic partnership with Wacker. Under the exclusive distribution agreement, DKSH will market Wacker’s Biosolutions products:
fermenter cysteine and bioengineered cyclodextrins, which are premium sugar compounds marketed under the Cavasol and Cavamax trademarks. The new regional agreement covers the whole of South East Asia, Greater China and parts of the India subcontinent, specifically India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The cysteine is purely vegetarian without any human or animal origin, hence ideally suitable for food applications such as bakery products or flavours. Moreover, it is also used in personal care products. Applications for cyclodextrins range from food and dietary supplement to personal care products. “In line with our focus on strategic business and relationship development with current and potential key clients, this cooperation with Wacker represents another milestone since establishing the new key client function in 2011.
