New application lab in Shanghai
Merck has opened its new application laboratory for the Performance Materials business sector in Shanghai, China. The expanded Technology Application Network China (TANC) at the Jinqiao site in Shanghai’s Pudong district is the first application laboratory in China that Merck has launched to deliver customised services for its products.
Specialty chemical acquisition
Azelis has agreed to fully acquire Chemcolour, a leading provider of speciality chemicals and food ingredients in Australia and New Zealand. The company employs a team of 90 people, who will all transfer to Azelis.

The 24th Conference of the IFSCC will take place in Seoul, Korea from 23-25 October 2017. The Society of Cosmetic Scientists of Korea (SCSK) and the International Federation of Science of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) will host the IFSCC Conference for the second time in Korea since the IFSCC 2003 in Seoul.

The New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists’s (NYSCC) 38th Annual Suppliers’ Day had a successful debut at its new location, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York on May 2-3.
