Boreal Bioproducts will showcase its award-winning SpruceSugar ingredient at next month’s in-cosmetics Global trade show in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
SpruceSugar, a versatile galactoglucomannan-rich extract with lignin content that is cold-processable, multifunctional, and naturally biodegradable, won the Green Ingredient Gold Award at in-cosmetics Global 2024.
SpruceSugar is said to help formulators simplify ingredients while enhancing sustainability.
A standout feature of SpruceSugar is its ability to work in tandem with other natural surfactants such as coco-glucoside, reducing the need for sulfate-based surfactants by up to 66% while maintaining high-quality foam.
It also holds potential for volume and shine and promotes a healthier scalp.
