CLR presents the findings of in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo studies into a vegan fermented skin care active ingredient designed to help skin maintain its oxidative balance and enhance its self-defence mechanisms

The human skin serves as the body’s first line of defence, acting as a barrier between the internal environment and external threats. This seemingly thin layer where our inner world meets the often harsh environment has the major task of keeping ‘bad things’ out and ‘good things’ in our body.

Particularly facial skin is continuously exposed to various exogenous factors, including sunlight and pollution, which are exacerbated by global climate change. Additionally, such factors as psychological stress, sleep deprivation, and poor nutrition—which are fundamentally exogenous in nature—also negatively impact the skin. Collectively, these external influences are termed the 'exposome'.
