Australian personal care ingredient maker Marinova has been named ‘Best Marine Biotechnology Company 2024 – APAC’ in the 9th annual International Life Sciences Awards.
The International Life Sciences Awards recognise companies that are spearheading the advancement of the global life sciences industry.
Award recipients demonstrate continuity in business performance and a strong commitment to undertaking new scientific endeavours.
Marinova specialises in the research, development and production of fucoidans - highly bioactive polysaccharides found naturally in brown seaweeds.
High purity fucoidan is prized for its range of beneficial health properties, and is widely utilised in market-leading skin care, nutritional, and animal health formulations.
“We are honoured that Marinova’s longstanding commitment to innovative marine biotechnology has been recognised. Bioactive marine compounds are increasingly garnering the attention of researchers, formulators and consumers alike,” said CEO Paul Garrott.
“The unrivalled quality and efficacy of Maritech organic fucoidans is based on more than two decades of research and the development of a unique proprietary extraction process. The Maritech portfolio represents the world’s only high purity, certified organic fucoidan with global regulatory acceptance,” he added.
