Ichimaru Pharcos has launched Milltect, an oral care ingredient that protects teeth from biofilm (dental plaque) formation, at stand D50.
The Japanese firm searched for a material that inhibits bacterial adhesion to tooth and found that an extract of Codium fragile had this effect.
Milltect shows a synergistic effect when used with cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC), well-used oral antibiotics, and strongly inhibited malodour and staining.
The COSMOS-approved, IECIC2021-listed and Halal-certified ingredient also reduces cavity risk and it aids prevention of bad breath and tooth stain.
