Innovation through formulation

Consumer awareness and appeal of natural concepts is increasing. Good natural ingredients need to combine several factors to meet market demands.

 Natural active ingredients which are also effective, must be tender and safe for the skin. While manufacturers are looking for cost effectiveness and savings in production, their R&D departments need to be able to create stable and unique formulations. 

Cosmetics manufactures are very keen to develop new products using natural ingredients. During the Meiyi Award at China Beauty Expo 2018, many prizewinners displayed their unique natural concepts incorporating pumpkin, seaweed, milk, pomegranate, coffee, edelweiss and rose anthocyanin. In the raw material field, ingredient innovation awards favour green and sustainable ingredients. Bamboo extract received an innovation award in 2016 for its green, sustainable, and organic appeal. It helped Azelis China take away Innovator of the Year in the same year for having received the highest number of votes. 

Azelis keeps looking ahead and paving the way to bring exceptional and natural ingredients to market in its formulations. The company has received eight awards for natural ingredients in the last five years. At in-cosmetics Asia, Azelis will present abundant functional and natural concepts and resources to the audience: pure bamboo stems water and leaf extract, upgraded physically modified corn and rice starch, transparent jelly gelled from squalane, natural yeast, omega 3, omega 6, jeju green tea extract and jeju green tea seed oil. All of these natural actives and extracts have been combined in innovative formulations. In addition, Azelis will show volcanic ash & white jade powder used to formulate masks with different kinds of textures.
