DKSH’s Business Unit Performance Materials in North America, an ingredients and specialty chemicals distributor, has secured the new NACD certification, which focuses on the health, safety and security of its employees, communities and the environment.
The Responsible Distribution programme allows members to demonstrate their commitment to continuous performance improvement in every phase of chemical storage, handling, transportation and disposal.
Participating companies must receive on-site, third-party verification of their facilities against a set of guiding principles, including strict adherence to laws and regulations, to pass verification. Participation in the program has significant benefits, including lower instances of safety and environmental incidents, better documentation of company policies, improved communication with local communities, reduced audit time and costs as well as increased credibility.
Kai Martin and Lance Croft, Co-Heads, Business Unit Performance Materials, DKSH North America, jointly commented: “We are very pleased to once again successfully pass the NACD Responsible Distribution verification. This certification highlights our commitment to growing as a responsible chemical distribution company where sustainability is firmly at the forefront of our priorities.”
