In-cosmetics North America is encouraging visitors to apply for its brand-new Speed Networking event on 18 October. These quick-fire sessions will provide the perfect platform for key decision makers at the forefront of the US personal care and beauty industry to connect, discuss and forge new business relationships with leading ingredient suppliers from across the world.
An industry first, the Speed Networking program will introduce personal care ingredients suppliers to North American buyers from contract and cosmetic manufacturers, private labels and indie brands. Buyers will be matched with relevant exhibitors, who meet their product category and sector criteria.
The Speed Networking sessions will run from 8am to 9am on Thursday 18 October. Apply to join the session at http://northamerica.in-cosmetics.com/about-the-show/show-features1/Speed-Networking/. One place per company will be allocated.
Additionally, running on both days of the show will be the Focus on Marketing Tours, sponsored by Sensient and led by development and advisory consultancy BeautyEdge. The tour will guide marketing professionals across the show’s key areas and will feature exclusive live demonstrations of the new technologies on display. In addition, tour host Cherie Buziak will provide insights into ‘How to Bring your Beauty Concept to Life’ in the show’s Marketing and Trends theatre.
Tour stops include: the Exhibitor Pitch, meet up to six different vendors to hear about exciting new technologies, how they work and how they are applicable to different beauty concepts; The Sensory and Make-Up Bars to see, touch, smell and evaluate the latest in sensorial skincare and personal care textures; and The Innovation Zone, where there’s an opportunity to take a closer look at incredible ingredients that have launched in the past eight months.
But there are plenty of other inspiring reasons to visit in-cosmetics North America, such as the Formulation Lab where cosmetic chemists can learn from expert formulators who will provide helpful tips and practical advice. Sessions include ‘The art and science of formulating with special effect pigments’ with Josey Casto from EMD Performance Materials Corp and ‘Creating personalised product formulations’ with Belinda Carli from the Institute of Personal Care Science.
The Formulation Challenge will see expert teams of cosmetic and contract manufacturers compete to produce a marketable formulation from a mystery box of personal care ingredients in just 90 minutes. Defending champion Colgate-Palmolive will take on Estée Lauder, Unilever, Shiseido, Swiss American CDMO and, for the first time, Johnson & Johnson.
Finally, the event’s unmissable educational program running across both days will see industry experts deliver the latest Marketing Trends and Technical Insights.
Speaking ahead of the 2018 edition of the event, Daniel Zanetti, exhibition director of in-cosmetics North America, commented: “Not only is in-cosmetics North America the place to learn about breakthrough innovations, new formulas and cutting-edge ingredients, but it’s also the place for ingredients suppliers to meet North American buyers from both major and indie brands.”
in-cosmetics North America will take place at the Javits Center in New York from 17-18 October 2018. For more information, please visit http://northamerica.in-cosmetics.com.
