Natural extract enhances the skin’s clock genes

The biological clock is a new target of skin care. Ichimaru Pharcos (Stand Q70 at incosmetics Asia) has developed a new natural plant extract called Chrono Chardy, which is made from chardonnay grapes, to maintain the biological clock in skin cells. Chrono Chardy has 100% guaranteed traceability, sourced from one of the best grape-growing areas in Nagano, Japan.

Our body has a 24 hour rhythm, from morning to evening, including the sleep cycle. In terms of beauty, a well-adjusted rhythm leads to better skin condition. However, busy lifestyles, psychological stress, UV stress and ageing can lead to disruptions of our biological clock.

It is reported that clock genes, Period and BMAL1, maintain skin moisturising and brightness in the daytime, and skin barrier function at night. One of Ichimaru Pharcos’s findings is that the disordered biological clock causes an interruption of nocturnal ceramide transportation.

Chrono Chardy enhances the action of the clock genes, promoting moisturised and brightened skin during the day. By increasing ceramide transportation, it also improves skin barrier function at night.
