Expansion in China

Inolex has increased its lab capabilities and personnel in Guangzhou, China. The location is developing as a Center of Excellence and is a key market for Inolex’s growth particularly in alternative preservation solutions and natural, innovative ingredients for the beauty and personal care industry.

A full-scale microbiology laboratory has been established in Guangzhou to complement the company’s existing commercial and technical centre. This new lab will provide services for challenge tests and MIC tests for internal and external projects related to formulations containing alternative preservation systems. In support of these operations, the team in Guangzhou has added several new employees.

Anna Gao recently joined in the role of account manager, East of China. Prior to her new position at Inolex, Anna held several marketing and sales engineer roles in the beauty care industry, most recently with Bronson & Jacobs.

Mengru Li joined the Guangzhou lab as a microbiologist in early July. She holds a Masters of Engineering in Aquatic Products Processing and a BS in Engineering in Food Science and Engineering. Her research in microbiology and molecular biology will be fundamental to the operations of the lab.

Jane Xiong, with a background in chemical engineering and technology, took on the role of application manager in late July. Formerly the manager of R&D at Guangzhou Sheencolor Cosmetic Co., Ltd., Jane holds numerous patents in the field of cosmetics.
