Olixol, a new entrant to the cosmetics market, which has established a novel process to create natural, plant-based oils sustainably and consistently, has announced key appointments to its Advisory Board.
Dr Antonio Trius, former CEO of Cognis, Dr Karlheinz Hill, former leader at BASF Personal Care and Francesco Ferlaino, a veteran of the L’Oréal Group, are joined on the Advisory Board by flavour, fragrance and cosmetics ingredient expert Hugo Bovill.
Tim Merrell, co-founder of Olixol and its CEO since 2014, commented: “We believe we have developed a truly pioneering technology that has the potential to transform the supply of natural oils to the cosmetics and personal care industry. The possible uses of our natural oils are so exciting that we have managed to attract an outstanding calibre of experts to our Advisory Board. We are honoured to have them alongside us and are already benefiting widely from their market insights, networks and expertise. The launch of our first two products at in-cosmetics 2017 is the culmination of years of hard work and scientific endeavour – led by our chief scientist Peter Whitton. With the right team at our side, we are confident that it will be the first launch of many!”
