Major ingredient suppliers join 'Make-up Bar'

The organisers of in-cosmetics Global – the world’s leading personal care ingredient event – have revealed a host of premier suppliers that will form its new Make-up Bar during the show in London from 4-6 April 2017.

Decorative cosmetics have driven growth in the European market, with Cosmetics Europe highlighting the product category grew by 7.2% in 2015. A recent report estimates that the cosmetic pigments market will continue to dominate, reaching US$11.57bn by 2021. As a result, manufacturers realising the market’s potential are searching for the next big innovations in colour cosmetics.

The exciting addition to this year’s in-cosmetics Global event has been designed to enable R&D professionals to identify innovative pigments and technology to inspire new trend-setting products. Featuring some of the world’s most innovative suppliers, the Make-up Bar will present the event’s 9,000 visitors with a unique opportunity to try new formulations in eye, facial, lip and nail make-up.

Sponsored by BASF, the Make-up Bar will feature the latest innovations from across the globe. The organisers of the event have confirmed that Brenntag (Germany), Codif (France), Daito Kasei (Japan), DSM Nutritional Products (The Netherlands), Induchem (Switzerland), JRS (Germany), Lubrizol (US), Nikko Chemicals (Japan), Sensient (US), Stearinerie Dubois (France), Sun Chemical (US) and Worlée Chemie (Germany) will each demonstrate their expertise during the show.

Cathy Laporte, exhibition director of in-cosmetics Global, added: “Make-up has been a staple of the cosmetic industry for many years. And over the last few years, innovations in pigments and unique uses of colour have seen it become the driving force behind the market’s success. The category is growing in importance and with 73% of our visitors wanting to test more ingredients the Make-up Bar is an ideal platform for this year’s in-cosmetics Global.

“We’re delighted to be featuring companies that are helping deliver stand-out make-up products across the world. BASF and the 11 other suppliers will present products that will be invaluable to manufacturers looking to maximise sales of decorative cosmetics products in years to come.”

in-cosmetics Global will attract cosmetic manufacturers from more than 100 countries when it opens its doors in April. With 800 exhibitors on display, alongside 100-plus hours of educational content, R&D professionals can source ingredients and learn about trends shaping the future of the industry.
