New VP at hydrocarbon supplier

Sonneborn announced the appointment of Roman Myrna as vice president of manufacturing. Roman will report directly to Jon A. Giberson, vice president & general manager - Americas.

“Roman Myrna brings an exceptionally diverse and progressive understanding within several technology platforms to Sonneborn,” said Jon Giberson. “His extensive knowledge and expertise, both professionally and personally, will establish him as a strong addition to the Sonneborn Team.” 

“Roman’s focus on safety, quality and team empowerment aligns well with Sonneborn’s long term efforts on achieving Operational Excellence,” said Paul Raymond III, Sonneborn CEO and president.

Roman Myrna started his career as a project engineer at Hoechst Celanese and progressed into plant management, most recently as site manager for Arkema’s Memphis, Tennessee site where they produce hydrogen peroxide. Previously, he was a site manager for Huntman’s chicago thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) site. Before this, he was an operations manager for Cytec, and a focus Factory manager for Covidien. Mr Myrna also holds a BS in ChemicalEngineering from California State University.
