Latest innovations in anti-pollution and skin firming

Givaudan Active Beauty's team will welcome attendees at booth 908 at IFSCC in Orlando to present their latest innovations and more especially Neurophroline™ and Tightenyl™.

During this scientific congress, delegates will have the opportunity to attend Dr Hanane Chajra's talk in the Innotech-Connect Zone on 31 October from 12:30 to 12:40.

Formulators will have also the opportunity to experience their sight on the booth thanks to Givaudan Active Beauty’s latest Virtual Reality application called Skin Odyssey. Givaudan’s Active Beauty team is passionate about creativity and technology. By harnessing the VR technology, viewers explore the little-known world under the epidermis and go on a beauty journey that is literally skin deep. The two-minute film offered never-before-seen scenes of skin in a way that scientific documentaries or presentations have not achieved.

Regarding the products, delegates will discover the company’s latest anti-stress & anti-pollution ingredient, Neurophroline™ which was awarded with the Gold Innovation Prize at in-cosmetics Paris in April 2016. Neurophroline™ is the first generation of cosmetic active ingredient able to block the production of cortisol, the major stress hormone. It also promotes the release of relaxing neuropeptides (endorphins) in skin, which breaks down the vicious biochemical circle of stress. Fast consumer benefits are obtained in only 2 weeks with a visible reduction of redness and a better skin radiance under the eyes. In one month, people have a less tired look and recover a noticeably better skin quality. Neurophroline™ is water soluble, without any preservative. China compliant, it complies with Ecocert and Cosmos guidelines, and can be used in any worldwide compatible formula to fight the signs of stress, pollution, fatigue and tiredness.

Tightenyl™ is the very first biomimetic cosmetic active ingredient derived from biotechnology research, which specifically targets the synthesis of sulfated glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans to enable the reorganization of the ECM fibres (collagens, elastin and hyaluronic acid).

Performing at least twice as well as retinol, it shows no side effects and can be used on sensitive skins. It firms and re-densifies the skin in only 2 weeks, and gives a global lifting effect in 84 days. The ultrasound echography of skin treated with Tightenyl™ after 3 months looks like the echography of a baby skin. Water soluble and without any preservatives, Tightenyl™ can very easily be formulated in new generation of products to enhance consumers' beauty, and meet their expectations.

Givaudan Active Beauty was rewarded with the first innovation prize at the recent Sepawa Congress in Germany for its self-tanning ingredient Vegetan™ Gold, a DHA compatible in oil-based formulas. This new product allows formulators to craft a new generation of self-tanning/sun care ranges.
