Innospec's UK manufacturing site in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire has won the UK Chemical Industries Association’s prestigious 2016 Health Leadership Award.
Innospec’s Ellesmere Port site manufactures several products for the personal care sector. The award was presented at the Chemical Industry Awards annual awards evening, held this year at St. George’s Hall in Liverpool on 30 June.
This award, sponsored by Eversheds LLP, was open to the whole of the UK chemical industry. It is for companies who have demonstrated excellence in health leadership and was awarded to the
Ellesmere Port site in recognition of their sustained health programme and approach to wellbeing
issues. The judges commented on the site’s open and honest approach to health and wellbeing, the support of senior managers and the personal and caring approach to wellbeing issues at a local level.
“This award is testament to the work done at Ellesmere Port to ensure a healthy workforce and
workplace. It is particularly pleasing to receive this award as it aligns with our overall Sustainable
Development objectives, which include implementing successful health and wellbeing promotional
programmes across all sites,” commented Brian Watt, VP Strategic Planning and Regulatory affairs.
