Centre International de Développement Pharmaceutique (CIDP), a Mauritius-based private and independent Contract Research Organisation (CRO), will take part in the Sun Protection & Anti-ageing Skin Care Conference Asia 2016, which is slated to take place from 13 - 14 July at the Hilton Hotel, Singapore.
An internationally-recognised CRO in the dermocosmetics sector, CIDP has over 12 years of experience in clinical research, and a strong expertise in photobiology. Due to the geographical diversity of its centres, CIDP has developed a whole line of research in photobiology, and it continues to conduct regular studies on tanning, melanoma, and cancer.
Representing the group is Mr. Muzzammil Hosenally, head of Data Management & Biostatistics for CIDP Group, who will deliver a presentation on the topic of ‘Factors Affecting SPF Results’ on the second day of the conference, 14 July (Thursday) at 2.30pm.
Hosenally’s presentation will focus on the potential effect of demographic factors on the results of SPF determination. Through simple descriptive statistics and linear regression techniques performed on data from several studies conducted across CIDP centres, there is evidence that SPF results on an individual may have a co-relation to one’s inherent characteristics. Hosenally will explore the influence of the individual baseline subject characteristics, namely skin colour (colorimetric measurements), age, gender, and phototype on the individual SPF results.
With more than five years of experience at both industry level and academia, Hosenally has worked on numerous projects, and has had the opportunity to apply statistics in various fields, including Insurance, Market Research, Public Health, and Clinical Trials. Since joining CIDP in 2012, he has contributed to the success of more than 200 clinical trials in a wide range of therapeutic areas for the group.
Interested professionals may download the presentation materials from CIDP’s website after the conference.
