Cornelius Group, the independent European distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients has announced two changes of responsibility within the Board. Cornelius CEO, Dr Neville Prior (pictured), said to Personal Care Europe:
"These changes form a part of the ongoing development of our directors, coupled to the future needs of our business and our partners. Over the past few years, David Brown has not only been managing director of our UK business, but has been pivotal in the development of several Cornelius’ overseas offices. This international aspect has grown to the point that David Brown will now have full Board responsibility for growing all of our non-UK operations as we strive to develop Cornelius into a truly international business." In Mr Brown's place, Darren Spiby, who has been sales director for the past five years, will become the managing director of the UK distribution business. His focus will be on the future growth of Cornelius UK business, and taking forward the strategy of Cornelius. Neville Prior remains as the chairman and CEO of the Group. These changes will come into force from 1 February 2013. Dr Prior added: "This is an exciting phase in the development of Cornelius, and David, Darren and the whole Cornelius team are looking forward to the future and all the opportunities it will bring."
