On Monday 5 December in Paris, the INPI (Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle - French National Industrial Property Institute) organised a ceremony to celebrate its 60th birthday and 20 years of trophies for innovation.
This trophy rewards SMEs, who place innovation at the very heart of their growth strategy and who transform their R&D works into industrial property. For the 20th birthday of these trophies for innovation, the Institute has decided to select the most talented winners from among the 46 that have received awards over the last 20 years for their innovative strategy.
Silab, a national and international supplier of natural active ingredients to the cosmetics industry had the honour of being elected the winner of all winners in the health/cosmetics category. Brigitte Closs-Gonthier, managing director for Research and Development, representing Jean Paufique, chairman and founder of Silab, was awarded the trophy of innovation 2011 by Thierry Morin, chairman of the INPI Administration.
This trophy is a real reward, crowning all of the Silab company’s activities and its innovation capacity, to which the company dedicates 20% of its turnover and 1/3 of its staff. It is also a mark of recognition for the exceptional visionary and avant-garde career led by its founder Jean Paufique, for whom the key word to this success is: "Innovation, innovation, innovation".
