Vertasil Hybrid Fluids bring reduced surface tension, increased spreadability and enhanced compatibility to their formulations. Hybrid fluids based on trisiloxane-modified natural products and natural-product-tipped siloxanes are available in the line. Vertasil trisiloxane hybrid fluids can be used to improve slip and reduce greasiness in skin care and cosmetic formulations. In addition, organic and inorganic pigments can be more readily wetted by the hybrid fluids than by silicones alone, which facilitates their use in foundations, eye shadows and blushes. Natural product character is imparted to a short emollient silicone tail by combining natural products with one end of a lowmolecular- weight siloxane. The salient characteristics of the natural products are readily retained in formulations, allowing the desirable accent of a natural product such as shine or cleansing in a form that is silicone-compatible
