Cornelius held its second Cosmetics Technical Seminar on 5 April 2011 in Sobiesky Hotel in Warsaw, Poland.
The invitation-only event provided senior formulators and technical developers of key manufacturers with an excellent chance to get up to date with the latest research and advances in cosmetics raw materials innovations, presented by the experts leading the way in these technologies.
The seminar was opened by Cornelius UK managing director, David Brown, who highlighted the core principles of Cornelius business; security and reliability of supply, innovation and extensive support the company offers to their customers. The technical presentations delivered on the day targeted the key market trends and included latest actives for skin and hair from CLR Dr Kurt Richter (Germany), novel wax applications from Strahl & Pitsch (US), cold water processing and specialty silicones from Jeen (US), and innovative surfactants and carbomers developed by Guangzhou Tinci (China). Roger McKenna, vice president of Strahl & Pitsch, commented: "I was delighted with the response from the audience; the formulators in Poland show a real wealth of technical knowledge, and the Cornelius Seminar provided us all with a valuable knowledge sharing opportunity".
The seminar gave delegates a unique opportunity to pose their formulating questions directly to the raw materials manufacturers present in the room, evaluate alternative products, and to network with industry colleagues. Piotr Wasilewski, general manager of Cornelius Polska Sp Z.o.o, said to Personal Care Europe: "The Polish cosmetics industry remains hungry for innovation and is keen to learn from international associates. We are delighted with the attendance at the Seminar, and thank our suppliers for their continuous support with our activities".
