ISP has unveiled its new Natriance line of skin care ingredients. These patent-pending bioelements derived from natural sources can be formulated into a variety of creams, lotions, serums and other products for the mass market, helping this segment deliver a new level of performance and excitement to consumers.
Developed by ISP’s dedicated personal care research lab, the Natriance range includes three unique ingredients so far, with additional introductions expected later on. Each of the three ingredients targets a specific skin need. Natriance Destresser helps to preserve skin appearance by addressing internal and external factors that may accelerate the signs of ageing, while Natriance Hydrator is an excellent hydration promoter. A bioelement derived from pea, Hydrator helps boost filaggrin expression in vitro to favour the Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) to improve hydration and the skin barrier. Natriance Brightener, a yeast extract, targets melanocytes, which with age can become erratic and overproduce pigments that lead to dark spots. Rich in essential amino acids and small peptides, Brightener helps skin achieve a brighter tone without the inconvenience and cost associated with alternative methods. “Mass-market consumers will surely embrace products containing Natriance ingredients when they see how effective they are in countering the signs of aging. Once reserved mostly for the higher end of the market, these benefits are now available to everyone, and we’re very excited to roll them out for the mass market,” said Anna Gripp, senior director – global marketing, personal care.
