They specialize in the areas of protocol development, safety and efficacy testing and product demonstrations and provide services for testing sunscreens, moisturizes, wrinkle treatments, hair products, etc.
AMA Laboratories, Inc. provides claim substantiation for major corporations and television networks and is a clinical testing laboratory devoted to the evaluation of finished cosmetics and cosmetic ingredients.
The company also tests these products for efficacy in both in vivo and in vitro environments. Their forte is the use of novel methodologies, biophysical measurements and instrumental data combined with scientific photography to provide the client with well-controlled, statistical valid studies to support products in the market place. AMA is both an ISO certified and FDA registered laboratory.
They have recently developed a system at AMA called PhotoGrammetrix, which allows them to offer their clients scientifically matched, high resolution digital photography where all the camera variables are kept constant. The AMA PhotoGrammetrix System insures that those differences seen in the photographs, taken during the study, are produced by and the sole result of the product being studied.
