The inaugural U’cosmetic competition, organised by two Breton universities (Université Catholique de l’Ouest, located in Guingamp, and Bretagne Sud, in Vannes) in partnership with companies in the cosmetics sector (Yves Rocher, Daniel Jouvance, Algologie, Soliance…) has recently got underway.
The competition, the only one in France specifically aimed at students in the field of “Cosmetic Formulation and Innovation”, is open to students from all branches of cosmetology. In total, 30 teams of students from all over France have entered the competition.
The results of the competition will be announced in Guingamp on March 25, 2010, when a panel made up of cosmetics professionals will award prizes for the most applicable, innovative and audacious products. The competition is split into three different categories – a “Marine Cosmetics” prize, a “Cosmetics and Natural Products” prize and a special “Innovative Cosmetic Concept” prize.
To conclude the competition, discussions on marine cosmetics topics are proposed, bringing together business leaders, marketing experts on strategic and creative trends (Martine Leherpeur Consulting Cabinet), specialists in natural products and their valuations (Archimex, CEVA, CBB Development). The afternoon will be dedicated to the regulation of marine active substances (natural and organic products).
This symposium is aimed at business leaders, heads of R&D, production, quality, marketing, for SMEs’ and cosmetic groups.
