This year’s in-cosmetics Asia will feature the first ever Cosmetic Regulations and Safety Assessment Workshop with a line-up of quality speakers involved daily in the topics on which they will be presenting.
Objectives
The objectives of the workshop, to be held from 10:30 to 16:30 on 15 October 2009, are to:
• Provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the cosmetic regulations in Asia (1.5 hours). This will cover all Asian countries and how a product could be positioned as a cosmetic, active cosmetic, quasi-drug or functional cosmetic depending on the country and the claims made.
• Give a hands-on demonstration and guidance on how to assess the safety of a product based on information available from the suppliers or from the internet (4 hours). This will include a simple introduction to toxicology as well as a look at raw material information.
• Answer delegates’ questions.
The workshop is aimed at event visitors having a technical background and involved in regulatory, research and development, or quality control aspects of cosmetics.
Unique opportunity
The Cosmetic Regulations and Safety Assessment Workshop will offer a unique opportunity for companies to increase their knowledge, to prepare for product expansion in other countries and to assess the safety of their products. The delegate fee is US$110 with early registrants benefiting from a 10% discount. Registration can be completed at www.in-cosmeticsasia.com/workshop
