The only trade show focusing on personal care and home care ingredients in China, and the first event in 2009 to gather the global cosmetic and toiletries manufacturing community, PCHi (Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients China), recently held in Guangzhou, registered a 16.3% increase in visitors compared with PCHi in 2008.
This year’s event attracted a total of over 6,000 visitors. PCHi project manager Jason Li said: “This increase in visitor numbers is a positive sign. Despite companies curtailing their travel budgets, PCHi continued to attract quality attendees which helped ensure our suppliers had effective business meetings during the show. The quality of visitors attending our event was also upheld by PCHi’s call centre and registration teams who worked tirelessly to sieve out pre-registration attempts by non-trade visitors.” Already, two-thirds of the exhibiting companies have rebooked for next year’s event in Shanghai and contracted a total of 82% of the space that had been sold at PCHi 2009. This means many exhibitors have increased their booth size for the 2010 event. To date, 63% of exhibition space available at PCHi 2010 has been sold. In 2010, PCHi will be supported by UBIFRANCE. This partnership will facilitate the participation of French companies at PCHi and help them benefit from the diverse business opportunities in China. PCHi organisers will continue to build on the success of their industry conference programme in 2010. PCHi is organised and managed by Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions in association with the in-cosmetics series of events. PCHi 2010 will be held at the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center from 10 to 12 March.
